This review was a "Report Card Submission". We ask our customers to fill out a "report card", like the one pictured below, at the completion of every job. The star rating is an average of how the technician performed in knowledge, promptness, courtesy, ability to finish the job quickly and in one visit, clean up of the job site and overall quality of the finished work. To add transparency to our business we make these public on our website.


At the completion of every job we ask our customers to review our business on our website. Their comments are reviewed manually for inappropriate language and then posted to the website unedited.

WOW!!! I hope you give Brian a BIG BONUS!!! He was fantastic!! So knowledgable and a very nice young man. It was so cold out and he just kept working and everything was done well and cleaned up. In this day and age I think it's rare! Great product! I am so pleased with the belt driven unit. It's so quiet. Love them. I hope to have many years of use out of them.
It's nice to know there are great businesses out there with reliability and ethics.

The springs in our garage door broke late one evening and we could not open the garage door. My car was stuck in the garage so we where in a hurry to get it reparied. I saw the Precision Garage Door service van in our neighborhood the next morning and asked if they could look at our garage. They came over as soon as their job was done and had our garage repaired before lunch! They also inspected our door and opener and replaced the opener as well. Great company eager to provide quality service and customer satisfaction!

Brian came to repair our 18 year-old Genie Door Opener and he gave us the option to upgrade to a brand-new chain-drive opener that is super quiet. My wife and I decided to spend the extra money and upgrade to a new opener. Brian was very polite and knowledgeable. He worked fast and had it done very quickly. Plus he saved us money by pointing out the coupon on your website. It was his 3rd installation of the day, but there was no complaints. Brian has a great personality to sell you a $600 product. Plus I was impressed with the satelite doo-hickey thing that prints the credit card receipt. Pretty high tech! You guys really know your stuff. Last time you came, it was 7 years ago, so your work lasts a long time. I'm glad I called Precision. Make sure you always put a business card on the wall right next to the control on the wall. And make sure you don't over-schedule Brian when the Trailblazers are playing on T.V.!!

I was very happy with the service. The spring on
my garage door broke. I called that evening around 5:00pm and the tech was at my house 9:15 the next morning. My door was about 40 years old and the tech showed me some worn parts that would eventually lead to problems. He suggested a door rebuild. I was really surprised at how much more quiet and smooth the door works now. The tech was professional and knowledgeable.

Jesse is the person who came out to see what was wrong with my garage door. He gave me the option of fixing the spring or getting a new door. I opted to get the new door. He was really, really a nice guy and I enjoyed talking to him. Brian B. is the person who put in the new garage door. He was very efficient and seemingly put the garage door in exactly as it should be. It is working very well and I am glad I decided to go with a whole new door.

The hardware of our double garage doors needed to be replaced due to the age of these heavy duty doors made in sold wood in the Irvington Historical area.

The technician, Gary Winter, was pleasant to work with. Even when he had problems to make the doors run the way he would like. Gary remained patient and persistent. He continued troubleshooting until he finally found a solution to resolve the problem.

The only thing that I miss is I no longer have my dog, Jazzy, to welcome me at the kitchen door when I come home from running errands, because our double garage doors now run so smoothly and quietly that Jazzy does not hear the squeaky garage door any more.

We are very satisfied with the work and professionalism that Precision provided us.

Based on my experience I highly recommend this company. Their response was prompt and they were very willing to work with my schedule. Brad arrived at the stated time, diagnosed the problem and presented options with the pros and cons of each choice. Rebuild of the garage door included replacement of springs, cables and rollers and checkout of the whole system. From the initial phone call to completion of the work everything was handled with professionalism and courtesy. This is a company that is a pleasure to work with.

Purchased a set of new wall mount openers in the fall. With the damp weather the wooden doors expanded creating a binding on the new electric eye brackets. Door was hanging up on the bracket. Brad was early for the appointment and proceeded to fix the problem in about 10 minutes by modifying the location of the brackets. Better than the original install and all at NO CHARGE! Thanks!!!

Our garage door spring broke during the night and we could not get our cars out the following morning. I called several garage door companies, but only Precision responded quickly. Branden assessed the situation, found that the cables and several other parts were also in need of replacement, and made the repairs in short order. I called Precision because of a broken garage door spring. Before I called, I checked around and selected Precision because of referrals and their reputation, Angie’s List, and the Contractors Board. I also was impressed by their willingness (honesty) to post not so great comments on their website, of which there are very few.

We agreed on an appointment time and the technician called before he arrived.

I have two single garage doors, and Brad made a thorough inspection of both doors and showed me other wore out parts ready to fail. We determined the other door had an original spring (1979) as well. He worked up the costs and I elected to replace the second door spring now and save another service call later on. There were two frayed cables on one door and all four lift plates needed to be replaced. Brad showed me all the areas of concern and it all made sense to me.

Brad did a great job of replacing the springs and adjusting all the door systems. He showed me how to take care of the door openers and rollers and what type of lubrication to use. Both doors work so much better now and they are a lot quieter. I am retired after 40 years in the construction industry, so I know he did it right! Thanks Brad

Excellent same day service! Brian came out to do what I thought was a basic spring adjustment. He identified the real problem, bearings and rollers and then gave me the spring adjustment at no charge. So I ended up spending a little more, but got what I think is a much better value.
